Marsha Chadwick Johnson, 60, of Cedar Creek went home to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of October 17, 2012, in her home. Marsha was born April 13th, 1952 in Fayetteville NC to the late Calvin Chadwick and her mother, Peggy Chadwick.
Marsha was well known and loved by many whose lives she touched through her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Throughout her life she has taught GA's, women's seminars, Sunday school, young married couples, vacation bible school, and many other inspirational classes. She volunteered through Operation Blessing and Agape Pregnancy Center as well as helping with mission outreach through Evangelism Explosion classes and numerous other venues. She was a living testimony and took every opportunity to share the story of her salvation. Marsha's Godly attitude of service allowed her to minister to others through prayer and unselfish acts of kindness. She was a loving wife to her husband of 37 years, Lamarr. They wed as college sweethearts and set the perfect example of what a loving, joyful, Christian marriage should be for their two daughters.
Some of Marsha's favorite past times included spoiling her grandchildren, shopping, and spending time at their beach home. She enjoyed decorating and planning parties and family functions. Marsha had a zest for life and loved living it. Her remembrance will be cherished by many for years to come.
Marsha leaves a legacy of wonderful memories to her husband, Robert Lamarr Johnson of the home; her daughters, Kristian Johnson Kelly and her husband Chris of Cedar Creek, Hannah Johnson Hill and her husband Matthew of Greensboro, NC; her mother Peggy Tatem Chadwick of Fayetteville; her brother Rev.Stuart Val Chadwick and wife Sue of Bear Creek, NC and her grandsons,Devin and Hayden Kelly.
The family will receive friends & family from 6pm to 8pm, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Lebanon Baptist Church by Dr. John Campbell, Rev. Stuart Val Chadwick and Rev. David L. Weeks. Interment will follow at Fisher Family Cemetery in Stedman.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 19, 2012 from 6 -8 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Lebanon Baptist Church,
burial will follow in the Fisher Family Cemetery.
