Martha Godwin Vann, 66, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, died March 6, 2022.  She is predeceased by her father, Lewis Wilburn Godwin; her mother, Velma Jackson Godwin; and her brother, Roy Dalton Godwin.  She is survived by her daughter, Robin Leigh Siska, of Durham, North Carolina.

Martha was born and raised in Fayetteville, attending Terry Sanford High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College. She was a cosmetologist, bookkeeper, and stay-at-home mother.  When her mother was in a nursing facility for many years, Martha was called to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, working in nursing facilities and in-home healthcare. It is without a doubt she made a positive impact in the lives of her patients and their families, given her ability to love and care for others.

In keeping with Martha's final wishes, there will be no funeral service and burial will be private. Though not one of her final wishes, if you'd like to honor Martha's life, please consider donating to an animal rescue organization of your choice, as her true loves were the many pets she cared for throughout her lifetime.
