Mrs. Martha C. Wheeler, 93, of Fayetteville, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, June 25, 2010. She was a devoted wife and mother and a friend to all. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles F. Wheeler Sr., and two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her children, James L. of Florida, Anne Mensak and husband Ed of Texas, Charles F. and wife Martha of Laurinburg, Francis L. and wife Donna of Fayetteville, and Thomas E. and wife Annette of Fayetteville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, and two brothers. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight, Monday, June 28, 2010, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at the Salvation Army, 220 E. Russell St. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens on Raeford Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 220 E. Russell St., Fayetteville, NC 28301.
