Martina Stewart Sikes, 81, passed quietly away on June 29, 2013, at her home in Fayetteville. Born on April 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Ralph S. Stewart and Marena Blanton Stewart. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Charles R. Sikes and two sisters, Clara V. Wright and Patsy A. Stewart. Mrs. Sikes was a 1950 graduate of 71st High School and was employed for many years at First Citizens Bank and Trust at Ft. Bragg. She was a longtime member of Bonnie Doone Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, youth director, day care director and church secretary. Mrs. Sikes is survived by her 4 children, Suzette S. Ray and husband Tom of Columbus, Ga., Susan S. Sikes of Fayetteville, Charles R. Sikes, Jr. and wife Karin of Hampton, Va., and Chandler R. Sikes and wife Jan of Dunn; one brother, Ralph S. Stewart of Fayetteville; 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, July 2, 2013, from 7 to 9 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 10 am in Bonnie Doone Baptist Church. The burial will follow at Post Cemetery on Ft.
