Marvis Eugene Howell Sr., 85, of 2922 Cliffdale Road, Fayetteville, died Thursday, March 1, 2007, in his home. Mr. Howell was an Army veteran and was president of Quality Concrete Co. He was a member of Haymount United Methodist Church, a Mason, a Shriner and a member of Sudan Temple. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 3, 2007, in Lafayette Memorial Park with Dr. Brian Gentle officiating. A visitation will take place following the service at his home, 2922 Cliffdale Road. Mr. Howell is survived by his wife, Kathryn Wooten Howell of the home; son, Gene Howell and wife Pat of Fayetteville; daughters, Dr. Darlene Jane Hunniecutt and husband Joe of Greenville and Cynthia Jean Farr and husband Jimmy of Raleigh; sister, Virginia McPhail of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Trey, Bradley, Jay, Kathy and Christopher; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Zack, Jacob, Drew and Kara; and friend, Doris Glover. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kathryn Moore.
