Mrs. Mary Lena Weatherly Brafford, 89, of Fayetteville, died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, in her home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Tryon D. Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. Visitation will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service, and at other times at 225 Randolph Ave. Mrs. Brafford was a member of Wesley Heights United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stacy Brafford. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Ellen Parrish and husband Jerry of Fayetteville, Jannette Smith and husband Irving of Wilmington, and Dianne Brafford of Wilmington; sister, Sara Driggers and husband Martin of Bennettsville, S.C.; six grandchildren, Wayne Parrish, Jeff Parrish and wife Paula, Brad Mericle, Rod Smith and wife Linda, James Smith and wife Lynda and Janet Adamson and husband Brice; and five great-grandchildren, Daniel Parrish, Tyler Smith, Blake Smith, Brad Smith and Ryan Smith.
