Mary Elizabeth Bullard Smith, 94 of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was retired from J.C. Penny's after 25 years and Sears after 18 years. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, David Underwood Smith and a daughter, Peggie Owens. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Rev. Jim Boyle, officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Smith of Fayetteville; son-in-law, Dan Owens of Albany, Georgia and grand-daughter, Lisa Vogt and husband Michael of Huntsville, Alabama.
