Mrs. Mary Nichols Ferguson, 88, of Fayetteville died Thursday, August 12, 2010, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.W. Ferguson and her parents, Ola and Esther Nichols. She worked as a switchboard operator for Carolina Telephone and Telegraph. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010, at 11 am in Jernigan Warren Chapel. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Friday at the funeral home. She is survived by her sister, Betty Taylor of Orange Beach, AL; and brothers, Travis Nichols of Fayetteville and Lenwood Nichols of Lumberton.
