Mary Ann Register, age 97, went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2023.

She was a devoted wife and mother. She worked for Thomason & Howard Industries and MW Building Supply for many years. She loved to sing, play the piano and spend time with her family. She was an active member of Person Street Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Milton Register.

She is survived by her brother, Dr. Robert Gibson and sister-in-law, Jane Gibson of Winston-Salem; sister-in-law, Betty Register of Eastover; and daughter Ann Douds, son-in-law, Dennis Douds; and her beloved grandson, Donald James "DJ" Douds of Apex.

There will be a graveside service Friday, December 22, 2023, at 11:00 am at Lafayette Memorial Park to honor her life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation, 3570 Olney Laytonsville Rd. #490, Olney, MD 20830.
