Mary Hammond Sessoms, 78 of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in her home.

Mary was a retired employee with Cumberland County Schools after 28 years. She was a graduate of Massey Hill High School. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Pervatt Sessoms.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm in Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery.

Mary is survived by her cousins, Marty Lee Hammond and wife Betty, Hurley Dallas Hammond and wife Hazel, Dennis Dale Hammond and Brenda Thompson and husband Billy; second cousins, Beverly Hammond, Sheila Hammond, Casey Hammond, Lisa Davis, and Denny Davis; and her beloved dog "Sampson", the light of her life.
