Mary Barron Simpson, 91 of Fayetteville, NC passed away on October 19, 2016.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James C. Barron & Allie Rogers Barron, and a brother, James C. Barron, Jr and her husband Hybert Eugene Simpson. She was born in Sturgis, Mississippi on March 12, 1925.

Mary was a Federal Employee from Fort Bragg retiring after 25 years of service in 1978. She was a member of MacPherson Presbyterian Church and loved to travel and spend time with family.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 3pm to 4pm at MacPherson Presbyterian Church. Following visitation, a graveside service will be held at Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum on Ramsey Street at 4:30pm.

Mary is survived by her son, James O. (Jim) Simpson and wife Janice and their son Joshua Ryun Simpson, Daughter, Susan Simpson Penland and husband Harold and sons, Justin Barron McCarty and John Alexander (Jay) Johnson III and wife Kristen and their daughter Saylor. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, two step sisters and a step brother.
