FAYETTEVILLE Mary Anne Townsend Carter, 58 of Fayetteville passed away Friday , Sept. 2, 2016 at home.

She was born February 20, 1958 and worked with Frank Townsend Plumbing for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate of 36 years, Harvey Raymond Carter, III; brothers, Watson Townsend Jr. And Charles Townsend. Surviving are her daughters, Teresa Carter, Heather Fehlauer and husband Travis; brother Frank Townsend; granddaughters, Hailey Grace Fehlauer, Emma Brooke Fehlauer and Daisy Rayanne Whitted. Mary Anne loved her family and friends unconditionally. She had a mother's heart and cared for everyone as if they were her own. Her favorite pastimes were spent drinking coffee at the beach, Christmas shopping, cooking and spending time laughing with all of her girls. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 7th at 1p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with the Rev. Mike Oliver officiating. burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8p.m. Tuesday, September 6, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
