Mrs. Mary Frances Wheeler, 86, of 3240 Shamrock Drive, Fayetteville, passed from this life Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary Frances was a Christian woman, loving mother, good friend and neighbor, and highly respected businesswoman. Upon the death of her husband, she returned to school for accounting and eventually started her own business while supporting and raising her children. She remained dedicated to her clients and active in Immanuel Baptist Church and the Cape Fear Chapter of N.C. Society of Accountants until recently. She took great pleasure in her sewing, gardening and bird-watching.
Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Marshall Wheeler; and her sister, Anna Holden.
She is survived by her daughters, Marsha Wheeler and companion Byron Bull of Fayetteville, Ferbbie Z. Wheeler of Port St. John, Fla., and Virginia Faye Carson and husband Orville of Muldrow, Okla.; her sons, James Frank Jackson and wife Wanda of Fayetteville, and Dan Richard Jackson and wife Gladys of St. Pauls; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, in Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Earwood and the Rev. Leon Keefe officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Nov. 12, 2007, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
