Lt. Matthew Eric Dow, 50, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, October 1, 2021 at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn.

Eric was born April 17, 1971 in Cumberland County . He was preceded in death by his sisters, Stephanie and Charity Dow.

He was a Lieutenant on the Fayetteville Police Department and loved the law enforcement community.

Eric enjoyed restoring cars, homes, and helping people.

Graveside services will be Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 11am at  Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 5-7:00 pm on Friday.

Eric is survived by his father, Matthew Steele Dow; mother, Carol Ann Thomas; sons, Noah & Ian Dow; former wife, Samantha Dow; sister, Wendy Dow Wiggins; fiancée, Kim Burns; brothers, Chris York and Chuck Dow.
