Mrs. Mattie Bertie Graham Kennedy, 83, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2012 at the Highland House Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of the Spring Lake Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #333 for 50 years and was a member of the Roadrunner Senior Citizens. Mrs. Mattie Kennedy is survived by her daughters, Linda Kennedy Stuart and husband Rodney Lee of Fayetteville, Ollie Kennedy of Hope Mills, Mary Jane Kennedy Downs and husband Roy of Fuquay-Varina; son, Jake Larry Kennedy and wife Pam of Piqua, OH; 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. A funeral service for Mrs. Mattie Bertie Graham Kennedy will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 2:00pm at Walstone Memorial Baptist Church, with the Reverend Wesley Wallis officiating. The burial will follow the funeral service at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.
