Mrs. Mattie Jane Long Blackman, 90, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2014, in Village Green Care Center.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, at 2 p.m. in Old Dock United Methodist Church with the Revs. Ken Sides and A. Edward Beddingfield Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Blackman was preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Bertha Long; husband, Stacy L. Blackman; daughters, Wilma Stanley and Patricia Jones; sister, Shelby Crowell Blackman; and son-in-law, Billy Stanley.

Surviving are her daughters, Elizabeth Roberts and husband John of Wake Forest, Billie McLean and husband Jerry of Fayetteville, and Margie Hare and husband Donald of Cherry Grove, S.C.; son-in-law, Jack Jones; sisters, Sena Stocks of Nakina, Audrey Stocks of Fayetteville, Annie Inman of Tabor City and Lula Faulk of Nakina; brothers, Lawson Long of Old Dock, and Guy Long of Ash.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the services from 1 to 2 p.m. at Old Dock United Methodist Church.
