On Friday, July 24, 2020, Maurice Jennings, Jr. affectionately known as "June," entered eternal rest at his home in Hope Mills, SC.  He was born on June 19, 1943, in McCormick, SC, to the late Maurice Jennings, Sr. and Jannie Wright-Jennings.  He was the first born to a family of five brothers and five sisters, then later he gained a stepsister from his father's second marriage.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Jennings, and brothers, Edward Jennings and Donald Jennings.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Catherine; daughter, Karen Woodard; sons, Marcus Jennings (wife) and Emmnuel Jennings (wife); brothers, Charles Jennings and Melvin Jennings; sisters, Daisy Bowers, Christine Jennings, Rosalie Bynum, Rose Thurston, and Mauritta Jennings.

The Funeral Service is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 11 am at the Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Pastor Mark J. McIntyre officiating.
