Mr. Melvin Reynell Parkins III, 46, insurance agent, passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at East Lawn Cemetery on T.C. Jones Rd. in Rockfish at 11 A.M. The family will receive friends Monday night at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M.

He is survived by his spouse Tammy; children Taylor and Tania; mother Brenda; father Melvin Jr.; brothers Maurice (Tammy M.) and Michael; sisters Benetta Simmons (Lowell), Bertina, Briana, and Brittany.

He is predeceased by one brother, Matthew.
