FAYETTEVILLE - Merle L. Centell, 83, of Fayetteville, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center. Memorial services will be held Friday, Feb. 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mr. Centell was an Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Lucia Centell; daughters, Elizabeth Dugan, Linda Centell and Terry Smith; sons, Robert Centell and Donald Centell; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Foundation for Diabetes Research.
