Mr. Michael Dean Axtell, 53, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at his residence. His funeral services will be held Thursday, July 5, 2007, at 1:00 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Rev. Ken Earwood officiating. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park. Mr. Axtell was a Marine veteran. He is survived by his wife, Carol Guin Axtell; his children, Stephen Hogan, Angela Langkilde, and Jackie Hertel; five grandchildren; his mother, Reba Jackson Axtell; his brothers, Dana, Kevin, Keith, and Chris Axtell; and his sister, Suzanne Ascuitto; He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel William Axtell. The family will receive friends for two hours, from 11 am to 1 pm, on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
