Staff Sgt. Michael A. Dickinson, II., 26, stationed at Fort Bragg, died Monday, July 17, 2006, in Iraq. Mr. Dickinson was born in Battle Creek, Michigan. He was serving in Iraq with the 4th Psychological Operations Group, 9th Psychological Operations Batallion, A Company from Fort Bragg. Mr. Dickinson was preceded in death by his father, Michael A. Dickinson, I. Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, August 1, 2006, in Jernigan Warren Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will follow in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 pm. Monday, July 31, 2006, at the funeral home. Mr. Dickinson is survived by his wife, Glorygrace of the home; daughters, Genesis Diaz, Jennifer Marcano, and Abigail Dickinson, all of the home; sons, Angel Marcano and Juan Marcano, both of the home; his mother, Vicki R. Dickinson of Battle Creek; sisters, Carmen Dickinson, Renee Dickinson, and Michelle Dickinson, all of Battle Creek; a brother, Darrell Morris of Lawton, Oklahoma; and a grandmother, Sandra Kay Dickinson of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
