Michael “Mike” Keith Furin, 69, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Valley Hospice House.

Mike was born on September 16, 1957, in Cumberland County to Howard M. Furin and Aundrey Hollard Furin. He was a graduate of Pine Forest High School and worked as a welder with Cape Fear Rail Car for more than 40 years.

Mike enjoyed the simple things in life. He especially enjoyed fishing and spending time with his favorite cousin, Steve Butler. He will be remembered for the quiet moments, friendships, and family connections that meant so much to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Howard M. Furin, and his sister, Edwina Anderson.

Mike is survived by his loving mother, Aundrey H. Fulcher; his sister, Nancy Wood; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory.
