Michael Dale
Renegar
December 1, 1950 – December 22, 2023
Michael Dale Renegar, 73, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.
Michael was born December 1, 1950, to the late Lendo Gray and Avonell Hobson Renegar.
He graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor's degree in Economics.
Mike will always be known for his unmatched wit and sense of humor. To know him was to love him and he never met a stranger.
He was an avid sports fan, especially loving the North Carolina Tar Heels and Carolina Panthers. He never missed watching the Tarheels and he always looked forward to tailgating and going to the Panthers games.
Michael worked as HR manager at Cashwell Appliance Parts and loved what he did. He especially treasured the relationships he made during his time there. He also treasured all the friends he made over the years at the different Association meetings he attended.
When he was not at work, he enjoyed spending time at the beach and in Autryville and getting the occasional round of golf in. But his greatest pleasure in life was spending time with his children, grandchildren, family and friends. They were always his number one priority. He was an amazing Father, Husband, Brother, Uncle, and friend.
Michael is survived by his wife, Susan Cashwell Renegar; son Gray Renegar (Kelly); daughter Molly Renegar Janelle (Andrew); grandchildren Whitman Renegar and Michael Gray Jannelle; brothers Doug Renegar (Marty) and Kevin Renegar (Laura); sister Jane Tietsort (Daren); nephews Griffin Faircloth (Maddy); Zachary Faircloth (Callie) ; Lendy Renegar (Season); Kevin Tietsort; Sumner Renegar; nieces Zanna Faircloth (Trevor); Cori Tietsort; Caroline Castelli (Tim); Amber Renegar; Anna Renegar; Emily Renegar; Elizabeth Renegar; and many special aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews and friends.
