Michael Hernando Young, Jr., affectionately called Mikie by those who loved him, died Saturday,February 12, 2011 at Highsmith Rainey Memorial Hospital in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was the age of 53 at the time of his death. Michael was born June 10, 1957 in Hope Mills, NC. He was raised in Fayetteville, NC., however, relocated to Baltimore, Maryland where he lived and worked almost his entire adult life. He was a resident of Fayetteville, NC at the time of his death. Michael died from Complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Although Michael struggled from his youth with the crippling disease of Rheumatoid Arthritis, he was a diligent worker. He was blessed with multiple talents as a craftsmen with brick, stone, tile, wood and was a gifted cabinet maker as well. He worked for most of his life designing, building and installing fine custom cabinetry. He also enjoyed working with engines and was an excellent mechanic. Michael was recently devoting his energies to rebuilding motorcycle engines. He was working with a friend and business partner to open a recreational Motorcycle Race Track. Mikie was predeceased by his father, Michael H. Young, Sr. and his mother, Juanita (Wanda) V.Young, both his maternal and paternal grandmothers. Survivors include his children, Fahad Young, Fahammie Young and Bethany Young all of London, England. Sister
