Mr. Millard McDuffie McLaurin, 84, of Eastover, died Thursday, April 8, 2010, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 11, 2010, at 3 o'clock p.m. in Salem United Methodist Church with Dr. William Snotherly and Rev. Mary Frances McLure officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Sunday in the church parlor. Millard was retired from P.W.C. after 44 years of service. He was also a lifetime member of Salem United Methodist. He was preceded in death by his parents Marcus and Letha McLaurin. He is survived by his sister, Deloris M. Hedges of Eastover; two brothers, L. Elbridge McLaurin and Leland McLaurin Sr and wife Shirley, all of Eastover; nephews, Leland McLaurin Jr and wife Teri, Craig McLaurin Sr and wife Angie, and Jeffrey Hedges and wife Veronica; nieces, Donna Dunn, Carla Loney and husband Jamie, and Debbie Jones; and several great nieces and nephews.
