Mrs. Miriam Batten, 88, of Wake Forest, formerly of Hope Mills, died Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 19, 2011, at 3 pm in Highland Baptist Church in Hope Mills. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
