Miriam Wallace (Newton) Coheley, 83, of Charlotte, NC sadly left us on December 1, 2022 following a long battle with dementia.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Nellie Wallace, two sisters Sarah Ann Skinner and Sherry Lynn Wallace and two loving husbands, Patrick Monroe Newton and John W. Coheley.

Miriam is survived by daughters Kelly Kaplan and Kirby Hughes and their spouses Jack and Mark, grandchildren Sherry Bowers and Jason of Missouri, Michael Kraft and Abigail of North Carolina, Matthew Kraft of California, Cody Hughes and Alessandra, Caleb Hughes, Jacob Ferguson and Cassandra, and Joel Ferguson all of Texas, and great-grandchildren Allyson and Alayna Kraft and Liam and Amelia Hughes.

Miriam was a faithful civil servant and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She contributed many years to the Parkton Presbyterian Church in the choir and leading the youth choir.

A memorial service will be held in Miriam's honor at 2:00 p.m. on January 14, 2023 at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, Fayetteville, NC.
