FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Moncell Cummings Morrison, 91, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Morrison; a son, Ronnie C. Demery; a brother, Joe Cummings; sisters, Cammie Tarkenton and Wardie Oxendine; and a grandson, William Ross \\"Will\\" Morrison II. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 27, 2009, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John Cuthill officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. She is survived by a son, Harold F. Demery of Pembroke; a daughter, Alice F. Lance of Summerville, S.C.; a daughter, Loretta D. Attebery of Raeford; a daughter, Lynnette Hodges of Hampton, Va.; a son, Ricky Morrison of Raeford; brothers, Jerry Cummings and Fred Cummings, both of Pembroke; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
