Monte Marlowe Kennedy, 69, of Fayetteville passed away at his residence on April 25, 2022.

Mr. Kennedy was born on September 12, 1952, in Evansville, Indiana to the late Meredith Kennedy and Maxine Guthrie Kennedy.

He was retired from the U.S. Army where he was a Jumpmaster with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. A private burial will be held at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marlene Stacer.

He is survived by his sons, Basilio Kennedy, Joseph Kennedy; daughter, Ashley Kennedy; brothers, Mickey, Mitch, Mark Kennedy and George Wood; sister, Melissa McDermott; grandchildren, Jaiden Kennedy, Lexus McGuire, Miles Kennedy, Monte Kennedy and Chance Kennedy.
