Mark Douglas Robins, 62, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
He was born October 7, 1958, in Edison, New Jersey, to the late Mary Lou Race Robins and Douglas Robins.
Mark served his country honorably for over 21 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring at the rank of Master Sergeant. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, he served in both the DODEA and DDESS school systems, which he very much enjoyed. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Fayetteville. He cherished the time and memories shared with his wife, daughter, and grandchildren. Mark's hobbies included traveling to over 25 countries, reading, and spending time at the beach with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Mrs. Karen Ann Pozniak-Robins; his daughter, Maria E. Brunson and husband Sean; his grandson, Ryan Brunson; his granddaughter, Shannon Brunson; his sisters, Bonnie Robins and Nancy Lockwood; his brother, Glen Robins; his niece, Robin Cicerale and husband Frankie; and his great-nephew, Frankie Cicerale. Mark was a devoted husband, father, and Poppi—he will be terribly missed by his family and friends, and remembered with love by those whose lives he touched.
The family will receive friends and family from 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2021, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service, with Father Jack Kelly officiating, will be held in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel on the following weekend, Saturday, July 10, 2021, at 11 a.m.
