Myrtle Debnam Carnevale, 87 of Fayetteville, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016.

Born December 23, 1928 in Rolesville, NC. She was a retired Dental Hygienist. As a member of the original chapter of the Petticoat Pilot Chapter, she held her private pilot license, instrument rating, and multi engine rating. She was a devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Reynolds A. Carnevale (Sonny). Her sisters, Peggy Ferrell, Mary Thomas Walters, her brothers, Warren Debnam and Jimmy Spence. She is survived by her sister, Janet Bartlette of Oakridge, TN. Her son, Victor N. Carnevale and wife, Kathy. Daughter, Patricia C. Gainey and husband, Stan. Five grandchildren, Jamie C. Moore and husband, Kevin; Christopher R. Holloway and wife, Nicole; Dustin N. Carnevale; Jonathan P. Holloway and wife, Winter; Victoria H. Williams and husband, Ricky. Four great grandchildren, Katharine, David, Hailey, and Alexa.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Entombment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 11:30 - 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
