Myrtle D. Tew LINDEN — Mrs. Myrtle Davis Tew, 98, of Linden, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, with loving family by her side. Myrtle was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Cumberland County, to Ira Robert Davis and Dora Francis Rouse Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Edwin Tew Sr.; and sons, James Ira Tew and Robert Lee Tew. She is survived by sons, William Edwin Tew Jr. and wife Marion Cimaglia of Linden, Willie Eugene Tew and wife Debbie of Port Richey, Fla., and David Allen Tew of Linden; daughter, Shirley Tew Warren of Durham; sisters; Dorothy Davis Blackard of Linden, and Effie Davis Bill of Hope Mills; seven grandchildren, Darryl Tew, Kelly Tew, Todd Warren, Lori Tew Pugh, Susan Tew, William Tew III and Amy Tew Ammons; and nine great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted today, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at 11 a.m. in Lafayette Memorial Park. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
