FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Nadine Johnson Jordan, 81, of Fayetteville, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She worked for 25 years as a spinner at Burlington Industries Lakedale Plant. Mrs. Jordan was a faithful member at Faymont Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for 47 years and was also a choir member. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Chris Evans and the Rev. Gary Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens on Raeford Road. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home today, Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband, Charles W. Jordan; son, Randy Jordan and wife Vickie of Lumber Bridge; daughters, Kathy Canady and husband Smoot of Gray's Creek, and Debbi Nobles and husband Daryle of Fayetteville; sisters, Cleo Johnson of Fayetteville, and Mary Leppert of Monk's Corner, S.C.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Katie Johnson; and grandson, Brian Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Faymont Baptist Church Building Fund, 3663 Cumberland Road, Fayetteville, NC 28306.
