Mrs. Nannie Biggs Smith, 94, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in Heritage Suites. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, J. Wick Smith. She was a lifelong member of St. John's Episcopal Church, where she was a choir member for more than 60 years. She also was a longtime volunteer at Fayetteville YMCA and the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Smith was a member of Chaminade Music Club and the Fayetteville Women's Club. Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday in St. John's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. John Frazier officiating. There will be a private family burial. The family will receive friends at the Kyle House following the service. Mrs. Smith is survived by a son, Wick Smith Jr. and wife Jane of Fayetteville; a daughter, Nancy Bryant and husband Ron of Fayetteville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
