FAYETTEVILLE- Naomi Rasmussen, 95, passed away at Rehabilitation and Health Care Center at Village Green on early Friday, August 31st. She is survived by several nieces and nephews in Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden. Naomi was an active member of Haymount United Methodist Church, the Barrington Bible Class and Circle 4. She was a member of Altrusa Club and was active with Meals on Wheels and the literacy program at Urban Ministry. Naomi established the first Physical Therapy departments at both Highsmith Hospital and Cape Fear Valley Hospital and was instrumental in the planning of Southeastern Regional Rehabilitation Center.
