Nathan Alex "Nate" Royal of Fayetteville died peacefully in his home on Sunday, May 16, 2010. A World War II veteran, Mr. Royal was a manager at Lafayette Bowling Lanes and a member of Northwood Temple Church. He was known for his tireless dedication to his God, his family and his friends. His word was his bond. Mr. Royal is survived by Ethel Capps Royal, his loving wife of 64 years; his son, Nathan Micheal Royal and wife, Tina Iuliucci Royal; three grandchildren, Natalie, Nicole and Richard Royal. He was preceded in death by his son, Richard Wayne Royal and by his parents, James Thomas and Rhoda Royal; three brothers, Elliott, Edgar, Harold, and two sisters, Vernon Matthews and Lillian House. Friends and family will be received Tuesday, May 18th from 6:00-8:00 at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 19th at 11:00 a.m. in Northwood Temple Church with burial at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwood Temple Church, 4250 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC 28311 or Native Angels Home Health Incorporated, 2008 Litho Place, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
