FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Nellie Townsend Raspi, 80, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, in her daughter's home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville with Pastor Sandra R. Nowiski officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Watson Townsend and Russell Townsend; and sister, Anna Bell Jackson. Mrs. Raspi is survived by her husband, Louis A. Raspi of the home; daughters, Terry Lou Cooper and husband R.D. of Bowling Green, Va., and Sandra R. Nowiski and husband Daniel of Linden; brothers, George Townsend of Rhode Island, and Fred Townsend of Newport News, Va.; sisters, Elizabeth McLamb of Dunn, and Mary Wilson of Flushing, Mich.; three grandchildren, Rachel Andrews, Adam Nowiski and Madeline Cooper; and five great-grandchildren, Joel Andrews, Tiffany-Faith Andrews, Brody Nowiski, Haylee Cooper Sylvia and Cole Nowiski.
