Nellie Corum Upchurch, 80, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday, July 11, 2008.
She was the former owner of Forever Yours Wedding Chapel and a member of Northwood Temple.
Mrs. Upchurch was preceded in death by her two husbands, James F. "Pete" Smith Sr., and Leo V. Upchurch; parents, Fred Thomas Corum and Nettie Jackson Corum; three brothers, Fred E., Donald and Paul E. Corum; and a sister, Lois M. King.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Sunday, July 13, 2008, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008, in Northwood Temple, with Dr. John Hedgepeth officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street.
Mrs. Upchurch is survived by her two sons, James F. "Jim" Smith Jr. and wife Debbie of Fayetteville, and Alvin D. "Dan" Smith and wife Desiree of Fayetteville; a daughter, Debbie S. Gorman and husband Michael of Fredericksburg, Va.; two stepsons, Michael Upchurch of Raleigh and Edward D. Upchurch and wife Rhonda; a brother, Isham Leroy Robinson of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Barbara Joyce Rusch of Richmond.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
