FAYETTEVILLE - Nick Prianos Jr., of Fayetteville, who was an avid motorcyclist and business partner at Gin's Speed Shop in Fayetteville, died Oct. 6, 2013, at age 47.
He was an enthusiastic and respected member of the local biking community and an excellent bike mechanic with a passion for creating custom bikes.
Nick was born in Cook County, Ill., served in the U.S. Army for four years and then worked for 25 years as an aircraft/helicopter mechanic for the U.S. Army as a civilian contractor. Most recently, Nick and Jennifer (Gin) Hendrix owned and operated Gin's Speed Shop.
Survivors include: fiancée, Jennifer Hendrix; son, Nick Prianos III; daughter, Danyelle Santos; mother, Anastasia Prianos; sister, Carole Lambert; brother, Tony Prianos and his wife Deborah; nephew, Jamison and his wife Julie, their daughter Allison and daughter Renee and her husband Shane, and their daughters, Tassia and Camaryn.
A memorial service will be held in the Freedom Biker Church, Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Freedom Bikers Church, 455 Rock Hill Road, Fayetteville, NC 28312.
