Nina Cantrell Sherman, 87 of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015 in Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital.

She was born on June 14, 1927 in Cumberland County to the late Maude and Clarence Cantrell.

Nina was a member of Village Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the White Shrine and Amaranth.

Nina was preceded in death by her husband, Harry M. Sherman and brothers, Robert Cantrell and Junior Cantrell.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. with the Rev. Brett Johnson and Rev. Donald Fischer, officiating. The family will receive following the service at the graveside. Following the service a recption/fellowship meal will be served at the Village Presbyterian Church 5303 Spruce Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28304

She is survived by her son Larry M. Sherman of Fayetteville; daughters, Susan S. Gaddis of Asheville and Elizabeth S. Roberts and husband Bruce of Hillsborough; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Cantrell of Brevard, Dorothy Finley (Larry) of West End, Mary Couch (Charles) of Fayetteville, Hilda Parker (Robert) of Fayetteville, Betty Parker of Spring Lake and brother-in-law, Willie C. Hubbard, Sr. of Raeford. 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
