Obituary

FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Nittaya \\"Nit\\" Flinn, 62, nee Kengpiem, of Fayetteville, wife of retired Command Sgt. Maj. Keith W. Flinn, died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. As a military wife, she traveled the Orient and the continental U.S. for more than 20 years. She never had a harsh word for anyone with whom she came in contact and was loved and respected by all. She loved her protector, Bandit, her Doberman mix. Mrs. Flinn was predeceased by her sister, Phuat Lunsamur. She is survived by her husband, retired Command Sgt. Maj. Keith W. Flinn; daughter, Marilynn M. VanLanduit and husband, Thomas VanLanduit; daughter, Melinda C. Flinn and her husband, Andy Anderson; and her three grandchildren, Jasmin C. Nabors, Jordan T. Nabors and Jenna C. Nabors. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. She is dearly missed by many besides family and likely to be forgotten by none.
