SFC Norman D. "Rifton" Williams, U.S. Army Retired, 86 of Fayetteville, formerly of Bladenboro died Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the N.C. State Veterans Nursing Home.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Florence Williams; wife, Mable Andrews Williams; his son, Dr. Jimmie R. Williams; sisters, Estelle Dettman and Ida Lene Hyatt; brother, Richard Wesley "Bunkie" Williams. Surviving are his daughters, Dondi Rae Johnson and Jo Lynn Urian; grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Tamra Johnson, Ryan Urian , Tyler Urian and Jonna Rae Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Thursday one hour prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
