Odus McDuffie Cain, 92, of 1721 Joncee Drive, Fayetteville, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Cain was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Rotary Club. Mr. Cain worked with his father, Charlie S. Cain, in the family business, Riverside Mattress Co., and later became the owner and operator.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, Dec. 19, 2007, in Salem United Methodist Church with Dr. Bill Snotherly and the Rev. Mary Frances McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today in the church parlor.
Mr. Cain is survived by his daughter, Dale Cain of Eastover; two brothers, Frederick Cain and Charlie Cain Jr., both of Eastover; three grandchildren, Allen Cain Huber of Cary, Holly Huber Rumsey of Galway, N.Y., and JoAnna Huber Walden of Wilmington; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Forehand Cain; his parents, Maude Jones and Charlie S. Cain; a brother, Bronnie Cain; and three sisters, Mable Cain Beard, Ruth Cain Horne and Wilma Cain Williams.
