Mr. Oscar Jenkins, the son of the late Mr. David and Catherine Jenkins, was born on September 24, 1950 in Yonges Island, SC.  He entered eternal rest on January 12, 2022.

He received his early education at Minnie Hughes Elementary School and Baptist Hill High School in South Carolina. In 1969, he relocated to New York City, where he worked several years as a car mechanic. He later became the owner of Oscar's Home Improvements.

In 1990, Oscar met the love of his life, Laura Johnson, in New York while giving an estimate for a home improvement project. The rest, as they say, is history. They married in 1993 and later relocated to Fayetteville, NC.

Oscar was known for his strong personality yet; he had a heart of gold. He had a great sense of humor and excellent culinary skills.  He was a good Christian man, a true protector with strong morals who loved his wife dearly. Oscar was loved by all who knew him.

Oscar is survived by his wife of 33 years, Laura Johnson; his daughters, Jeanine Scagnelli (Ronald), Germaine Jenkins, Tiffany Miles (Darrin), and one son, Oscar Davis; grandchildren, Arianna, Denai, Travis and Mia; siblings, Willie George Jenkins (Brenda), David Lee Jenkins (Sarah), Issia Charles Jenkins and Marion Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

A memorial service will be held on February 19, 2022, at 1pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, 545 Ramsey St. Fayetteville, N.C. 28301.
