FAYETTEVILLE- Mrs. Patricia Lee Lothspeich, 80, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 15, 2016.
Pat was born in Baltimore, Maryland June 14, 1935 the daughter of Edward and Dolores Ball. She graduated from the Institute of Notre Dame and worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation where she met Jim her husband of 58 years. Pat and Jim were married in 1957 and soon after moved to Fayetteville, NC where they began their family that eventually included their five children and 12 grandchildren. Pat was a wonderful sister, wife, mother and homemaker who gave generously of her time and talents to the parish of St. Patrick's for almost 60 years. Involved in both church and school activities Pat was a devout Catholic who lived fully her Christian faith every day by serving those around her with love and compassion. A beautiful lady with a loving heart she will always be remembered with her contagious smile and warm welcoming embrace.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Lothspeich; and brother, Ed Ball, Jr.
She is survived by sister, Debbie Tripp and husband, Jeff, of Franklin, NC; son, Michael Lothspeich and wife, Lisa, of Trussville, Ala.; daughter, Kathy Gooch and husband, Ric, of Raleigh; son, Steve Lothspeich and wife, Ana, of Charlotte; daughter, Mary Pat McDonald and husband, Keith, of Fayetteville; and daughter, Lori Messer of Raleigh; 11 grandchildren, Eric, Catherine and Kristen Lothspeich, Lauren Sisko and husband, Dennis, Nicole and Jimmy Gooch, Alex and Matthew Lothspeich, Jake and Rachel McDonald, and Rebecca Messer; and a great-granddaughter, Emily.
A funeral Mass will be held at 1 pm Friday, March 18, 2016 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11am to 1 pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2844 Village Drive, Fayetteville NC 28304; or to the CARE Clinic, 239 Robeson St., Fayetteville NC 28301.
