Paula A. Elrod Spivey, GSM Paula Ann Spivey, 50 of Fayetteville passed away Monday March 24, 2014. She went home to be with her Lord and savior after having battled cancer for a year. Paula was born November 13, 1963 in Madison County Georgia to Hershal Elrod and Shirley Davis. She attended Madison County High School, and graduated in 1982. She was a military spouse for over 20 years. After becoming a Gold Star Mother in 2005, she dedicated her life to helping veterans, wounded warriors and thier families, with other members of Rolling Thunder Chapter 1 and the American Gold Star Mothers-Dogwood Chapter of Fayetteville, NC. She loved working with these organizations to make the community a better place. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Memorial Service will be held at Epicenter Church at 3 pm Friday, March 28th 2014 in Fayetteville, NC. She was preceded in death by son SPC MIchael K. Spivey whom died April 06, 2005. She is survived by daughter Kelly Spivey Stinson, grandchildren Tristan Coulter and Kayden Stinson of Fayetteville, NC; parents Hershal Elrod of Colbert, GA and Shirley Davis of Statham, GA; brothers, Steve Elrod of Charleston, SC. William Elrod of Statham, GA. Sister Sherry Carlisle of Royston, GA.; and fiancé, Jimmie J. Moskwa of Fayetteville, NC.
