Obituary

Born on June 25, 1946, in Washington, DC, to the late Benjamin and Mamie LeSane, Evangelist Paulette Rogers was one of four children. She was educated in the District of Columbia Public School System and later earned a certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) from the University of the District of Columbia. Throughout her nursing career, Paulette served in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, private-duty nursing, and pediatric care. She had a genuine love for people and found great fulfillment in caring for her patients, extending compassion and kindness to everyone she encountered. Paulette also devoted many years of service as a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a fraternal organization dedicated to faith, charity, fellowship, and community service. Her involvement reflected her commitment to helping others, building meaningful relationships, and serving her community.

In her younger years, Paulette loved dancing, socializing, and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her playful, mischievous personality and unforgettable sense of humor. A notorious prankster, she especially enjoyed playing tricks on her younger siblings and cousins, often using her signature scare tactics to catch them off guard. Her laughter was contagious, and she had a remarkable ability to bring joy and laughter to those around her.

Evangelist Paulette Rogers was a woman of unwavering faith who loved God deeply and devoted her life to serving Him. Her faith was the foundation of her strength, guiding her through life's many joys and challenges. Music was one of her greatest passions and one of God's many gifts to her. Blessed with a beautiful voice, Paulette found great joy in singing in church choirs and ministering through song as a soloist. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem FBH Church in Washington, DC, until 2007. She later joined Greater Deliverance Temple Church Ministries in Washington, DC, where she was ordained as an Evangelist and served from 2007 to 2011. Her love for God and commitment to her faith remained steadfast throughout her life. Paulette later relocated to Hillsborough, NC, and subsequently to Fayetteville, NC, where she spent the remainder of her days.

On the evening of October 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her children, Leslie and Omar, Paulette peacefully transitioned from this earthly life. Paulette was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Lenwood Rogers; her brother, Terrence LeSane; her three sons, Marcus Rogers, Robert Rogers, and Steve Rogers; and her nephew, Stephan LeSane. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Omar Rogers, Leslie Rogers, Timothy Rogers, Tony Rogers, and Yvonne Rogers; her grandson, Ryan Rogers; her brother, Cornell LeSane; her nephews, Wayne and Cornel LeSane; her niece, Ashley Gaskin; her sister, Tammy Harvin; and her nephews, Terrence, Marice, and Lamar Harvin. She also leaves behind a host of beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her love, wisdom, infectious laughter, and the precious memories they shared.

Paulette's legacy is one of faith, compassion, service, and unconditional love. Though she will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit, infectious laughter, and the love she so freely gave will forever remain in the hearts of those blessed to have known her.
