P.D. \\"Pinkey\\" Jones, 85, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Jones was the owner-operator of Jones Electric Co. since 1949. He taught Sunday school at Person Street Pentecostal Holiness Church for more than 40 years. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, in Lafayette Memorial Park, with the Rev. Marvin Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends Monday following the graveside service. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Edith M. Jones of the home; sons, Randy Jones and wife Rita of White Oak, and Kenny Jones Sr. and wife Linda M. of Eastover; daughter, Joyce J. Porter of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren, Terry Porter Jr and wife Shelia, Michael Porter and wife Anna, Robert Porter and wife Amy, Randolph K. Jones and wife Pam, Tara Land, Kenny Jones Jr. and wife Rebecca, and Amy L. Jones; and ten great-grandchildren, Ashley, Melanie, Sharon and Jackson Porter, Miranda Jones, Tess Land, Garrett Land, LaTron Jones, Emma Lown and Olivia Lown.
