Mrs. Peggy Herring Alvarez, 52 of Castle Hayne, past away peacefully in her home on Wednesday evening, January 12, 2011. She served her community for the past 30 years as a psychiatric nurse, she was co-founder of Community Home Care and Hospice of Fayetteville. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 18, 2011 4:00 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Cross Creek Cemetery She is survived by a daughter: Kelly Groder and husband Joey of Castle Hayne, daughter: Ellen Carnell, brother: Richard Herring of Fayetteville, sister: Martha Hamm of Houston, Tx. Grandson: Nicholas Groder of Castle Hayne The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 18, 2011 one hour prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
