Peggy Ann Byrd Brooks, 86, of Fayetteville, NC, died Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Autumn Care of Fayetteville.

Peggy was born January 31, 1937, in Duplin County, NC, to the late Paul Byrd and Beullah Mae Brock Byrd.  She was a homemaker.

Peggy is survived by her children, Brad Bierowski, Karen Bierowski, and Susan Brooks Brock; sisters, Shirley Byrd Schomisch and Linda Byrd Vorwerk; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by a son, James Heinbach and two brothers, Douglas Byrd and Elwood Byrd.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Lafayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC 28301.
